Baby Boy Joined the Daniels Family

I hope everyone had a wonderful end of the year and a happy new year. I’m thrilled to share that we welcomed a baby boy to our family! Declan arrived in late June and everyone is happy and healthy, though no one is more excited than big sis Saoirse. I can’t believe he’s just turned half a year old – time really flies! He is the most relaxed and calm baby I have ever met (which is nothing like his older sister, who had colic). 

As we navigated our first holiday season with two young kids, I’m reminded of how magical this time of year is. I remember watching tree lightings with my parents and putting reindeer food in the yard to make sure Santa stopped at our house, and now I’m doing it with my kids! I can only hope that it’s just as magical for them as it was for me.

This year we added going to the ‘Christmas Prelude’ in Kennebunkport, Maine to our traditions list. Apparently, it’s very popular but I hadn’t heard of it. I can now attest that fireworks in December are just as exciting as they are in July, so we intend to go back again next year. If you have any traditions that I should add to my holiday roster, please let me know as I’m always looking for suggestions!
