Galentine's Day

My husband and kids aren’t the only VIPs in my life—I’m also lucky to have an incredible group of friends. This year, I wanted to show them how much they mean to me by hosting a Galentine’s sit down dinner party. One of my friends co-hosted with me, ensuring that no detail was overlooked—from the décor to the menu.

We set the tone with a printed menu, fresh flowers, and more paper chains than I can count. I must say – there is something quite cathartic about making paper chains, if you’re looking for something to fill your time!

The menu featured six amuse-bouches, followed by a lemon orzo and herbed chicken (or tofu!) entrée, and an assortment of desserts. The highlight was a homemade chocolate mousse served in heart-shaped bowls made of dark chocolate. Every detail was intentional.

My daughter stopped by as well—I wanted her to see firsthand how important it is to celebrate our friendships. A month later, the group is still talking about the evening, which is perhaps the best compliment of all. The evening reminded me how much intention and attention to detail can transform an experience into something truly memorable.
